Chao Fa West is one of the primary north/south roads in the southern third of Phuket island and connects the 5-road Chalong circle intersection in the south to the Bypass Road at the Central Festival intersection, where, if you're headed north from the Chalong Circle, you can choose turning left/west for Kathu and Patong Beach, or right/east into a Phuket city neighborhood, or straight on to the large Tesco/LOTUS intersection, where you can again make a choice to turn left/west for going to Kathu and Patong, or right/east for Phuket Town. Straight on is the Bypass Road skirting Phuket City and ending at the Koh Kaew 3-way intersection (sometimes called Boat Lagoon intersection). Turning left and north heads in the direction of the Two Heroines Monument circle, the town of Thalang and eventually a left-turn intersection for Phuket International airport south of the Serisan bridges leading off Phuket island.
